Hirose established its Engineering Center as a research and development base to meet worldwide connector needs in Yokohama in 1988. Integrating the Engineering, Advanced Die, Production Techniques, and Quality Assurance Department, the Center provides a technology network that interconnects all Divisions across the board. As a manufacturer specializing in connectors, we have established our Technical Divisions on the basis of product-specific projects. Interweaving these particular technology areas to an organic whole has given us the strength to meet the complex needs of the electronics sector.

Along with the Engineering Center, we have also established a Strategic Business Division that serves as a development team for Hirose,s next-generation growth strategies. Its R&D commitment in the electronics and opto-electronics fields encompasses a high-tech, high-value product range, including high-frequency connectors, optical connectors, optical devices and medical electronics equipment.
