POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Administrators are key members of the Hirose staff ensuring the seamless and efficient supply of our products to our customers. They oversee major aspects of your business including but not limited to inventory management and control, logistics, import/export documentation, warehouse operations, process control, ERP systems management, and purchasing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Will process orders ready for shipment and work with our 3PL partner to insure timely shipment of orders to customers.
2. Will process direct shipments to customers from our corporate warehouse in Japan.
3. Perform and/or oversee accurate inventory transactions as needed in the ERP system ensuring detailed records of these transactions are maintained.
4. Oversee safety stock and forecast inventory programs in order to insure the smooth, timely and accurate management of these programs.
5. Using analytical and problem-solving methodologies, work with 3PL partner, customer service, accounting and other departments as needed to resolve discrepancies in the receiving, shipping, and inventory processes and follow up as needed to completion.
6. Understand Harmonized Tariff Code Schedule; research and assign HTS codes to our products and maintain HTS Code database as well provide updates to database to our freight forwarder, Hirose Corporate in Japan, and our customers.
7. Will participate during Physical Inventories or cycle counts and provide and retain all necessary documentation.
8. Will prepare, review, analyze, distribute and make recommendations as needed on inventory reports such as non-moving/excess stock, scrap analyzes, and others as directed/requested.
9. Will create purchase orders in the accounting software for approved requisitions per established procedures
10. Will help document changes to or create new work instruction as needed.
11. Will assist in providing training to others as needed.
12. Will create and submit purchase orders to our corporate office in Japan and help track, manage, update, and expedite as needed.

1. Build and maintain close relationships with all Hirose personnel, business partners and customers in order to provide the best service possible and to ensure company objectives are achieved

3. Employee must complete their tasks per ISO9001-2008 requirements, when applicable

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. 2-3 years’ experience in inventory management, operations, logistics, customer service or similar environment. College degree preferred.
2. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and regular changing environment all the while meeting deadlines.
3. Must be able to communicate and interface with internal teams and external partners effectively via phone, e-mail or face-to-face as required.
4. Effectively manage multiple items/issues/request simultaneously and be able to prioritize those, following up as needed to insure timely completion.
5. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism under tense situations.
6. Self-motivated and creative with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
7. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow through skills are a must.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel). MS Access and ability to learn new programs easily a plus.
