Hirose Electric to Establish a New Manufacturing Site in India, Set to Begin Operations in 2027
Hirose Electric Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) will establish a new manufacturing site, HIROSE ELECTRIC CHENNAI PRIVATE LIMITED, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The purpose of the establishment is to strengthen the Company’s automotive business in the Indian market, where significant economic growth is anticipated. The new plant is scheduled to begin partial operations in the summer of 2027. By establishing this facility, the Company will enhance its supply capacity for products destined for the Indian market and neighboring regions, where further expansion is expected. A signing ceremony was successfully held locally on March 11, 2026.

The automotive market in India is expected to continue its strong growth, and the Company is required to provide swift customer support through local production, starting with the automotive sector. Looking ahead, we will strengthen our production framework to deliver products and services tailored to local needs, while also expanding our customer base among Indian companies and adjacent fields where further demand growth is anticipated.
