Releases FH51 Series, an Automotive One Action Connector
with 125°C Heat Resistance and Top & Bottom Contacts
- Supporting Larger Automotive Displays and Improved Assembly Workability -
Hirose Electric has developed and released FH51 Series, an FPC/FFC connector designed for automotive display applications.
This automotive connector combines heat resistance up to 125°C with top & bottom contacts, one action lock structure. It improves PCB design flexibility, enhances assembly efficiency, and delivers high connection reliability.
Application Examples
Automotive displays Cluster panels LiDAR etc.
Contributing to the Evolution of Automotive Displays through Higher Pin Counts and Improved Assembly Workability
In recent years, the automotive market has seen an increase in the number of required signals as displays become larger and adopt Mini-LED technology. As a result, connectors are expected to provide higher pin counts and high reliability. There is also growing demand for various connection types from the perspectives of assembly workability and greater freedom in FPC/FFC routing.
To address these market needs, Hirose Electric developed FH51 Series, high pin counts, top & bottom contacts, one action connector with 125°C heat resistance.
The product's 125°C heat-resistant design ensures stable connection reliability even in high-temperature environments. Thanks to a low-insertion-force contact structure, the series is planned to support up to 80pos. while maintaining one action structure, helping meet the increasing signal requirements of automotive displays. The top & bottom contact structure enables flexible FPC/FFC wiring design without dependence on contact orientation, supporting a wide range of layouts and improving design flexibility. Because the one action structure does not require actuator operation space during mating, the upper space above the connector can be used effectively. This contributes to mounting in compact spaces and greater flexibility in assembly sequence. In addition, the structure eliminates concerns about actuator detachment or damage and supports automated mating, contributing to improved assembly process efficiency and stable quality.
Features of FH51 Series
