Corporate Distribution Manager
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Distribution, this role represents the unique opportunity to participate in the business strategy and organizational development of Hirose’s domestic and global distribution channels.
This position is primarily responsible for managing, analyzing, and processing the information and systems related to distribution sales, inventory, and backlog in collaboration with other Hirose departments including Marketing, Sales, Inside Sales and Hirose Japan. Primary day-to-day responsibilities include the facilitation of large amounts of data exchange with all current distributor partners, while improving and enhancing the current operations infrastructure and identifying key areas of sales and profit improvement from Hirose’s distribution partners.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. | Work with internal teams to ensure our distributors’ inventory mix and amounts are adequate to deliver and exceed revenue targets at both the product level and for Hirose America. |
2. |
Provide regular monthly reports on distribution sales, pipeline, inventory, backlog, and forecast, and provide other miscellaneous reports at the direction of the Director of Corporate Distribution. |
3. | Manage pricing and contract administration to maintain established profit margins, as needed. |
4. | Communicate regularly with our channel partners on new products, services, and programs. |
5. | Oversee return and co-op policies to ensure they support Hirose’s business interests. |
6. | Review revenue and demand creation metrics to the branch level, and work with Sales on strengthening high performers and implementing programs to improve poor performers. |
7. | Conduct quarterly and semi-annual business reviews with our channel partners. |
8. | Work with Director of Corporate Distribution, and Marketing department to create, facilitate, and manage direct marketing efforts, including implementation and administration of programs and promotions for our distributors related to distributor co-op activities, as needed. |
9. | Ensure Distribution strategy, practices, and initiatives are aligned with the company’s business objectives and support the company’s growth strategy. |
10. | Build strong relationships with both partner corporate organizations and select distributor branches. |
11. | Represent company at trade shows and industry association meetings to promote Hirose. |
12. | Deliver presentations – both internally and externally – as needed. |
13. | Regularly communicate with Hirose Japan’s Global Distribution team to promote global business development. |

SUPERVISION
There are no direct reports for this position.
REQUIREMENTS
1. | BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with work experience. |
2. | Minimum five years of cumulative management experience in Sales, Marketing, Distribution and Customer Service within the electronics industry with high emphasis on Distribution. |
3. | Fluent with Excel and Access – Data analytics is important in this role. |
4. | Management experience with distribution channels in the electronics industry with asset management is preferred. |
5. | Experience in developing strategic plans that drive revenue growth with demand creation distributors and internet-based distributors. |
6. | Experience in running a design registration program, asset modeling of high runners and inventory turnover, or POS systems is preferred. |
7. | Basic understanding of connector products, applications and their uses. |
8. | Fluent in English and knowledge of additional languages a plus. |
9. | Self-motivated & positive attitude with great energy. |
10. | Ability to travel up to 15% or more both domestically and internationally. |
