Data Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding Hirose's system and business landscape and analyzing business situations using spread sheet or database software. The Data analyst is to organize and present data that is derived from our business ERP system and recommend, when applicable, the best business decisions to management. Utilizing investigative, organizational and analytic skills, the Data Analyst implements and executes data mining projects and creates reports to provide insight into sales, marketing and financial opportunities and trends. Additionally, the Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and driving incremental improvements to the enterprise information system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports to the Director of Operations. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to
1. Create, maintain and enhance regular reporting deliverables.
2. Work with all Hirose departments to include but not limited to executive management, corporate office sections, Sales, Customer Service and Operations to develop new reports to improve our business efficiencies, track current organization targets, and help visualize our business outlook.
3. Understand our business structure and workflow and communicate with our internal users to improve our business operations via generated reports.
4. Ensure Data Integrity by running queries to analyze and cleanse data
5. Report weekly progress of assigned project(s).
Additional duties:
Assist in the set-up and control of end –user computer assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Analytics, Business Administration, or similar preferred.
2. 0-2 years of experience as a data analyst, business intelligence analyst, reporting analyst, business administration or similar role.
3. Strong data manipulation skills using Microsoft Excel and Access.
4. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
5. Analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to ‘think outside the box’.
6. Must be able to work independently as well as part of cross-functional teams.
