- Response to California Proposition 65
- Publication: May. 25, 2021 Update: May. 25, 2021
The concept behind the compliance of Hirose Electric products with California Proposition 65 is as below.
California Proposition 65 requires that people and businesses doing business in California be given clear and reasonable warnings of the chemicals on the Proposition 65 List before knowing and intentionally exposing the citizens of California to them. The information and knowledge we have on this list are as follows.
Based on the information and knowledge we have, some of our products may contain chemical substances that are listed on the Proposition 65 List. Although some of these chemical substances are present in our products, they are less than those regulated by law, and we believe that there is no exposure to humans through ingestion or inhalation in the intended use. Therefore, we do not require warning labels to indicate that our products contain chemicals that may cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive damage.
Upon request, we will provide you with detailed information about the chemicals our products contain. Based on this information, a decision can be made about the risk of chemical exposure.
