Infotainment systems (IVI) and advanced driving systems (ADAS) are constantly evolving to enhance safety, comfort, and the driving experience. As vehicles become more electric, battery density increases, demanding more advanced specifications for electronic components, all while requiring smaller sizes.

In response, Hirose Electric has introduced the KM32A Series, a compact, heat- and vibration-resistant board-to-wire connector for internal connections.

The KM32A Series meets automotive-grade standards, offering 125°C heat resistance, compatibility with 0.3 to 0.5 sq (AWG 20 to 22) cables, and high vibration resistance. It complies with the “GMW3191” standard for low-voltage connectors, making it ideal for various applications such as automotive displays, ADAS sensors and cameras, batteries, lights, and switches.

The KM32A Series has passed rigorous automotive tests, including a thermal shock test (-40°C to 125°C, 1,000 cycles) and a combined environment test (-40°C to 125°C/10 to 1,000Hz, 3.1 Grms). Its unique contact structure ensures continuous reliability under driving vibrations.

Compact and Space-Saving Design

Compatible with 0.3 to 0.5 sq (AWG 20 to 22) cables, this small 0.5-type connector is versatile for various applications, including infotainment systems (IVI), ADAS, batteries, and lights.
